About Dr. Armuth
A native of Reno, Dr. Spencer Armuth is thrilled to return to his home state of Nevada. He brings with him a patient-first philosophy and a mission to provide the highest standard of surgical care to the Reno and Sparks community. He is proud to join Dr. Galea and the esteemed team at Northern Nevada Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
His expertise was forged during an intensive oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Louisiana State University Health Science Center in Shreveport, where he trained under world-renowned faculty. This comprehensive training empowers him to handle a wide range of complex procedures, from precise dentoalveolar and implant surgery to life-changing corrective jaw surgery. Patient safety and comfort are the cornerstones of his practice, and his advanced training in in-office anesthesia ensures a calm and controlled experience. His dedication to serving the community also includes his work at both University Medical Center and Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center.
Education & Residency
Dr. Armuth attended the University of Southern California, where he majored in Biology and graduated magna cum laude. He then received his dental degree from the UNLV School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation, he was honored with the award for Outstanding Performance in Oral Pathology and the Dean’s Award for Student Leadership, and was named one of five outstanding graduates for the Spring 2014 Commencement by the President of UNLV. He completed his training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Louisiana State University Health Science Center in Shreveport, where he also earned his medical degree.
Certifications
In March 2022, Dr. Armuth earned the distinction of becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the highest honor for an oral and maxillofacial surgeon.
Hobbies & Interests
Dr. Armuth is joined in Reno by his wife and their two young children, Josephine and Benjamin. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, golfing, reading, and rooting for the Washington Nationals and USC Trojans.
